Nobody said work was easy stuff, but someone has to do it. Since the beginning of time work has been viewed as grueling and at times unforgiving. ... Even though robots and machines have replaced a lot of straining, manual labor we still view work the same way we did ages ago. Work is not trivial nor will it ever be viewed as trivial. ... Each poem is taken from a different era in time yet each poem has similar views on work. Time does not affect the way people view work. ... They all describe work as cruel, arduous toil whether they were written in modern age or from centuries before. ... The author shows that work is definitely not an easy task but he knows that someone has to do it. ...
