The Ties That Bond us? ... Family ties are tugged at and tested throughout the play of Hamlet, and those ties are what bring forth one of the most omnipresent themes throughout the play: family. The often corrupt and twisted family ties are one of the factors that has eternalized Hamlet into the canonical work of literature which it is. ...
