A Brief Analysis of A Lesson Plan
Proper lesson planning is very essential for teachers, especially for those inexperienced ones. It helps them to decide in advance about what techniques¡¢activities and materials will be used in class and the process of how the lesson will be organized.
Above is a lesson plan of ¡°Language Function¡± in Unit One from Senior Two textbook.
It is generally accepted that a language teaching lesson plan usually has the following components: teaching aims, language contents and skills and teaching stages and procedures. My lesson plan also follows this structure.
At the very beginning of the lesson plan is the teaching aims, which is the purpose of the lesson and should be clear enough. In my plan, ¡°have the class to learn the passive voice with a model auxiliary¡± is the first aim, which the textbook itself states clearly, and the second aim --- let the students learn how to communicate with others for information is my own design.
