Pink Floyd's "The Wall" Pink Floyd's "The Wall" is one of the most controversial movies of all time. Its horrifying and graphic scenes may have something to do with this. But because of this, it is also one of the greatest films in music and cinema history. It without a doubt ranks amongst the most original video efforts of the 1980's. It was released in 1982, five years after the release of Pink Floyd's album "The Wall". Although the two share a name, the album and the movie are two very separate pieces of art that stand on their own merit. The album is also not a soundtrack to the movie although the songs are represented in the film.
