This painting is called 'Young Italian Girl Resting on Her Elbow'. It was done in the year 1900 and has been painted on oil on canvas. It is quite large at nearly a meter high and seventy-three centimetres wide. The woman is the only figure in this piece of work, it shows her leaning over on her arm . I think the bend in her body fills up the space of the picture very sufficiently. Cezanne uses a few of his items of an earlier still life in this painting - the decorated drape and the tilted table. It is also like a still life in the slant of the woman's body think there is a good balance of the simple and rich things in life.
