One may not assume that all females are affected by visual media simply because that would, indeed, be a universal statement, but on the contrary, people can assume that quite a many of females are influenced by visual media. They can foretell this predicament merely by observing the fact that it evolves around countless females. It is not uncommon for females to undergo a diet to either gain or lose weight for the “perfect” body they see from the media. Other ways the media may affect females can be as little as a small tattoo worn by a well known celebrity causing them to obtain a tattoo for themselves to as large as performing plastic surgery. Of course, there are other aspects that may contribute to the facade of females. ... All of these effects contribute to the appearance of females in America.
Girls consume mass media daily; therefore, that may be a reason why they have the desire to be thin.
