December 29, 2003 To Whom This May Concern, I, is rebutting this statement that I received December 26, 2003 on or about 7:30 pm. I was giving pm care to B bed. When I finished giving pm care to B bed she said thank you. And I said you’re welcome. I then told her I’m going to get your water pitcher for tonight. A bed then asked for her pm snack because she told me she was a diabetic. I then replied by saying I’m going to get your snacks. I then went back to get the rest of the snacks to pass out. As I was leaving the nurse’s station, the Nurse Joyce approached the nurse’s station and there were CNA’s and med aids there. That’s when the Nurse Joyce yelled who has the water pitchers. One of the CNA’s replied Emma has them. I then turned around in the hallway and replied I have the water pitchers. Before I could explain to Nurse Joyce about the water pitchers, that went down late to be washed, she yelled with a very disrespectful attitude towards me, and said go get them now. I then replied and said let me finish passing out the rest of the snacks first. I turned around to go down the hall and pass out the other snacks. That’s when Nurse Joyce was disrespectful towards me again yelling out I want the water pitchers done now and asked if I had anything to drink tonight. I then replied yes. I said to Nurse Joyce you came in the patient’s room and saw the patient eating dinner and I was eating my dinner also. During that time in the room when I was eating, a CNA and Nurse Joyce was in the patient room. I told Nurse Joyce I am late going to dinner and, the only way I could eat my dinner and the patient eat her dinner without her ringing the bell is if I ate in the room with her because she had no sitter on the 3 pm to 11 pm shift.
