Intelligence We are used to thinking about intelligence as being good at tests and exams. In fact intelligence is the ability to use what we have learned and apply it to our situation. Think about how you might have learned to ride a bicycle, the 2 times table or the National Anthem. They have become second nature to you. According to modern thinking there are eight different kinds of intelligences. This is very exciting because it shows how different we are. We are a mixture of all eight intelligences. Although each of us is naturally stronger in some areas than others, we can develop strategies to increase those intelligences we feel are weaker.
