At that time in Korea, following the IMF policy interest rates were extremely high and interests rates on loans formed at around 15%. General committee of credit debtors decided to reduce interest rate to fixed 10% and reflected it on MOU; however, after 2 years that clause turned out to be poisonous to the company because interest rates got stable and went down to less than before the collapse of Korean economy. More than 75% assent of credit debtors was necessary to change the clause, which was proved really hard to achieve. A series of efforts of the company to get it continually failed.
