1. Describe what happens to a tomahawk missile during the three phases of weapons delivery. Include a description of all the forces that act upon the projectile (exterior ballistics). During the initial phase begins with the signal to launch and ends with the tomahawk missile in stable flight towards the target. In the mid-course phase, the delivery system may maintain steady course and speed. Fore ballistic weapons, there will be no control at all during the mid-course phase. In the terminal phase, the missile may sense the target and alter course accordingly in order to get even closer. This phase lasts until the tomahawk releases its destructive forces.
