What are the impacts of immigration on society?
While America remains a nation of immigrants, its two-century-old debate about the wisdom of immigration continues unabated. Immigration can be defined and described as a situation in which people moving from one country to come to live in another country permanently. The following essay will talk about the three main aspects that affect the community by immigration that is the economic impact, social impact and the environmental impact.
Firstly, the economic impact, immigration expands the sizes of the economy because the population of the society increase and the introduction of new technology thus the management skills which are brought by the immigrants. ... Further in the economic impact, immigration can lead to an increase of the national savings of a country. Stephen states that since Australia¡¦s domestic savings were insufficient to finance total investment, immigration, in this situation, would generate sufficient savings into Australia, and they can also induced investment. ... Also, Stephen believes that immigrants can bring skills to Australia, increase of skills intake from immigration can allow the firms to achieve dynamic efficiency, which means improvement of technology that changes in the input of labour and capital of less given quantity production of the economy.
