Defining Religion
The definition of religion is as controversial and complex as religions have been throughout known human history. As a result of this pluralistic religious society we live in today it is a challenge to correctly define religion. Many professors have defined religion in many different ways, using different terms and ideas. ... It has become so much part of my beliefs that I am now taken back at the idea of there being a generalized definition for religion.
In reading the articles in class this past week as well as dissecting the definitions of religion presented to us in class it is now clear to me that religion is not something that you believe in it is more. I did not understand until now that religion is not just about Catholics, Christians, Jewish, etc.
