Jesse and a group of his followers had been demonstrating peacefully in front of an abortion clinic, in Texas, for a week. They did not want to cause any trouble. They even said that violence wouldn’t be tolerated and anyone who acted out would be alone. There demonstration consisted of doing nothing. They sat in front of the building, they let people go in and out, and there was really no change in the clinic’s atmosphere. Except for when you had to sit in the waiting room people would see Jesse’s face looking at them. Nothing dramatic happened that they could take the credit for, knowingly. After a week, a group of his followers were getting tired and restless. The only reason they were demonstrating was so that they could see Jesse, by some miracle, knock the building down with just the wave of his hand. But it didn’t happen. After a week of just sitting there they wanted to take matters into there own hands. They no longer cared for what Jesse had to say. The group began to riot. Jesse tried to calm the crowd but to no avail. Everything was chaotic. When things began to die down the full effect of what had happened took hold. 3 people were dead, including a doctor who worked at the clinic.
