Writing Prompt On The Beach Dear Journal, August 16, 1960 A nuclear bomb has exploded in the Northern Hemisphere, to be exact, somewhere in the West Pacific. To introduce myself, my name is Peter, and I have a wife and daughter. We live in southern Australia. Since the atomic bomb went off about a few months ago, winds haven’t yet pushed the radioactive rains down here. I am also a Lieutenant Commander. Dear Journal, August 17th, Since I found this small book, I decided to write in it. Panic has risen in the South, and I was asked the other day to be aboard the Scorpion submarine. We would be traveling for about 6-7 days north, whether to see if anyone is alive.
