Edgar Allan Poe born in Boston in 1809 to itinerant actors. In his short, troubled life, Edgar Allan Poe originated the mystery story, brought new psychological depth to the tale of horror, for example the stories “The Tell-Tale Heart “ and “The Cask of Amontillado”. “The Tell- Tale heart” took place in house of elderly man, which the narrator became a caretaker. Most of the impotent action occurred around midnight. The narrator liked the old man “I loved the old man. He had never wronged me” (lines 10-11 p.3). Although the old man had nothing against the narrator, the narrator could not tolerate him.
