Tolerance In Society
In today’s western society we claim to be the most tolerant and best educated in the different aspects of peoples’ cultures. ... This superiority is rooted in our tolerance of others. If tolerance could be abolished we would see a culture united. ... Society plays into the mentality that tolerating other cultures is a good thing. No person has the right to treat anyone tolerantly because tolerance in its self is the assumption of superiority. People have the ideal that tolerance is the way we can all live in harmony together. This tolerance that we speak of is the breeding ground for feelings of contempt amongst people of different religions, races, and cultures.
