What constitutes the way we look at female athletes? ... This got me thinking, how do we as a society view the female body, in a sports aspect as well. ... Body images are personalized and subjective experiences, meaning the way we see ourselves could be completely different from the way others see us. ... We have the capability to change our bodies through exercise and the way we eat. ... Most of us have no choice to how we look physically; this is why women take so much abuse on this matter of body images. ... If this concept had never been constructed into our society, one wonders how the female body would be looked upon, what physical feats women would have conquered long ago. Body images affect our behavior, the way we feel and think about our bodies influences how we perceive and act in the world. In other words, if we like the way our body looks, we walk proud, act our day out with more confidence.
