The Day I Was Born
(The moon on February 20, 1986)
By: Megan Potaczek
It was a typical Thursday for my parents or so they thought. ... Well, she had already had two kids before I came along. ... I weighed in at 6lbs. ... I had blondish/ brownish colored hair and I had blue eyes. ... My mom said that when she looked at me she saw a little smile and she knew from that smile that I was going to be trouble. ... When they brought me back to my mom I was in my issolette. I was already sound asleep. ... They thought I was small and boring but they still held me and tried to play with me. ... I was awake again and my grandparents were able to hold me for the first time. After everyone had left, I got to eat for the first time and then the nurse had to come and take me back to the nursery. The minute the nurse took me away from my mom I started to cry. My mom and I had to stay in the hospital until that Saturday when they were finally able to take me home and show me off to the world.
The world was ready for me but I was not ready for the world.
