The story “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, at first glance, appears to be nothing more than a simple journal. ... The style in which many inanimate objects in the story, such as the wallpaper, are portrayed, also seems to reflect the manner in which the woman views her own life. ... ” Another object in the story which seems to take on the woman’s personality is the yellow wall paper itself. ...
