Music Edit Daniel Elliott The track that I decided to edit was 'Smack my bitch up' by the Prodigy. I chose this because it has a few distinct parts to it which can easily be separated. It also, being a song made on a sequencer, has a steady tempo. This makes looping parts a lot easier. I chose to use Emagic's Logic Audio Platinum as the program to edit the track. It has a versatile sample editor built in, and useful automation ability. After converting the song into a wave (.wav) file and importing it into Logic, I set about searching for sections of the song that I could use as loops. I did this by opening the original audio track in Logic's audio editor and selecting parts of the song, then saving these selections as new audio files. These were automatically imported into the audio pool for easy dropping onto the arrange page.
