The four main elements of McDonaldization, described by Ritzer are as followed. The first is efficiency, the ratio of the effective or useful output to the total input in any system. Mcdonald’s offers us fast food and drive through window’s where you can go order and receive your food with out having to get out of the car. McDonald’s does the job “of getting us form a state of being hungry to a state of being full. This is an efficient system in a fasted paced mobile society. Quantified and calculated is the second element of McDonaldization. This happens all the time, when we think were getting a good deal on something. McDonalds has value meals, large amounts of food for inexpensive prices. Are society has come to believe big is better so these people are more likely to buy one of these so called value meals.
