There is now a large debate in the scientific world that is affecting our society. ... Genetically modified food is food, which contains ingredients that have had their genetic structure modified in order for them to grow faster, bigger or be more resistant to pests when growing. Many people are unhappy about genetically modified foods because they believe they may be harmful to health and because not enough tests have been done into its safety. ... These genetically modified seeds are said to produce the characteristics of the crop and keep pesticide usage down.
