Film Essay In the movie Misery one of the elements shown was a violent disruption of the everyday world. This element means is when someone does something unusual that they would not do on a regular basis. In the movie Misery the character Annie Wilks acts all rational and abusive to Paul Sheldon to keep him at her house and kept inside. She takes care of him and starts to fall in love with him and to also keep “Misery” alive by making him write another novel and made him destroy his other one which he just completed writing. The proof of the element is that Annie Wilks kidnaps Paul Sheldon and wont let him leave, make him contact his agent, or tell anyone the location of where he is.
