Title: A married Couple Director: A. King Country of Origin: Canada Year of Release: 1969 In A married couple, King tackles the difficult job of portraying a married couple in the United States. I am going to say that this was my favorite film we’ve seen all year long. It is so mesmorizing and King does an incredible job of bringing the viewer into the story. The couple seems to be on such a roller coaster ride. Some moments they love each other and are having so much fun, and at other times, they are screaming at each other and want a divorce. It was truly frightening in the scene where Billy came downstairs and called Antointte a “cunt” and they proceeded to get in a physical fight. I thought he was really going to start beating her up. It was so amazing that we the audience were seeing this first hand.
