Teenagers have filed lawsuits against McDonald’s claiming that they unfairly took advantage of their youthful ignorance and that the restaurant is to blame for their obesity and the health problems that come along with it (YWFWT). ... Some countries, like Malaysia and France have already begun to place restrictions on junk food advertisement because of the growing concern of obesity in their countries (Lumpur). Groups stress that the only way to stop the obesity epidemic is to start a “greater focus on healthy eating messages” (Ligerakis) and insist restaurants raise their standards.
