... One of the major differences wasd that the whole population believed in the supernatural and actually linked it in with social disorder in the way that people acted. It is with this belief that the people had that Shakespeare creates the horror of the supernatural in the play because in those times people will have found the idea of making a play about the supernatural let alone useing real incantations in it inconsievable.
Through out the play macbeth there are many accounts which can be blamed on the supernatural, these are the use of the witches, visions, and ghosts. It is definatly noticeable that supernatural is a main factor in the play.
The first use of the supernatural is in Act 1, Scene 1 with the three witches.
