GENERAL PUROSE: To inform
SPECIFIC PURPOSE: To inform the audience of how AIDS are affecting our world today, the different symptoms, and prevention and treatments.
THESIS: AIDS stands for acquired immune deficiency syndrome it is a lethal clinical condition characterized by a breakdown in the body’s natural defense against disease. ... When theses acquire that’s what makes AIDS so deadly. ... I know when I think about AIDS I do not think of it begin so bad in this area, but come to find out this disease is affecting us all right now. There are so many people that are living in this community that know about AIDS and what it could do to a person, and there are many people today that are not even sure if they are affected by this horrible disease. ... In a article that I read at AIDS kids on the web there was a girl which was affected by AIDS and she had just given birth to a little boy which she put up for adoption and this little boy which hasn’t had the since to live a good life yet was carrying the AIDS antibodies. The little boy didn’t have AIDS yet, but there was a very strong since that this little boy would be affected with the disease. The doctor said that they would have to wait about a year to see if the little boy antibodies would change into AIDS virus.
