When Shakespeare wrote the “Taming of the Shrew” he depicted the the portrayal of men and women and how their roles are completely different from the other. ... For a modern audience this may not be as shocking because as the time has changed so has the attitude towards men and women, their roles in both love and life, and so because of this the modern audience could watch or read the “Taming of the Shrew” and not be shocked or appalled but she a sense of humour in the writing and maybe believe that it is meant to written so that we don’t take these two characters seriously and that they can be laughed at.
