In my paper, I will expand upon the differences and similarities of pre-industrial society in comparison to post-industrial, post-modern society. ... As the post-industrial, post-modern society evolved, ideas, ideals, and new norms took to this evolution as well. ... During pre-industrial times, it is documented that some forms of birth control existed, but it was not wide-spread or very effective. Nonproductive sexual functions during pre-industrial society were also practiced, but did not dominate sexuality. Overall, societies condemned extramarital sex and/or adultery, but were accepting to pre-martial sex. ... Divorce was looked down upon in pre-industrial times. ... After writing this paper and providing many similarities and differences between these two societies, I have come to the conclusion that the major difference between the pre-industrial and post-industrial, post-modern society is the emphasis regarding individualism.
