Cell Phones: A Threat to Human Life
The cell phone, a lifesaving piece of technology, or is it? Cell phones are a distraction and are very deadly. ... After thoroughly researching this subject, I have come to find that cell phones may cause cancer, are disruptive and impolite, and lead to wrecks while driving and talking. People, especially in today’s society where cell phone use is essential to most jobs and daily life, need to be more responsible with their cell phones and how much they use them.
In 1997 there was an experiment conducted in Australia on the relationship between cell phones and cancer. The scientists looked at 200 mice, half exposed to cell phone radiation and the other half not. The mice were exposed to GSM type pulse microwaves at a density roughly equal to that of a cell phone. ... ” The question was answered when they found a significant increase in B-cell lymphoma earlier in the experiment and got worse over the span of 18 months. B-cell lymphomas are found in roughly 85% of all cancers. B-cell lymphomas are essential to the immune system, which fights bacterial infections and cancer. So the longer the mice were exposed to the cell phone radiation, the better chance they had at getting cancer.
