... The answer lies beyond their physical appearance, career, and reputation: they are all educated people. Some of these names are questionable to whether he or she is educated or not, but then again it must be admitted that there are definitely more than one way to define what an educated person is. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines an educated person as someone who learns by the means of going through school, but also someone who “develops mentally and morally.” This point of view puts all of those names previously mentioned under the same scope— they all have recognized qualities that make them educated. My idea of what an educated person is parallels Webster’s definition in that I believe an educated person is someone who is able to develop positively and learn what she or he must in the given environment.
A person does not necessarily have to go to school to be educated. ... For example, a person on the street who learns how to deal drugs can be just as educated as a person who studies chemistry in school in that both are learning in their given environments.
