Imagine you are from a village in the jungles of South America you have seen a city you can only picture it from the stories that are told to you. Then one day you are told you will be sent to the U.S.A. How would you act in feel if you were put you in that situation? When there, you will be shown the sights by a local who has never stepped out side of the US before in his life. What do you think he will think about and act towards the foreigner? How will it end up and what will the native learn from the local and what will the local learn from the native? Native- It’s the big day, the day I go to the USA. This morning I must go to a place the city people call an airport. I have been told that I will be flying in a plane which I’m told is the metal birds the pass over the village every once in awhile. When I arrived at the airport it was like going to a metal jungle and was the first time I had seen a car in my life. There are no plants or animals instead there are cars and high tech buildings. It took me more than an hour to get on the plane because I speak very little English. I don’t remember what happened on the plane because I was asleep, but we I woke up I saw the biggest buildings in my life. After getting off the plane two men went through all of my things looking for things that I guess were illegal in this country. After that I was told that my tour guide would be at the exit holding my name. Local- I can’t wait to see what he looks like and how he dresses. I wonder if he is any good at speaking English because if he doesn’t it could be a long seven days. I hope I spelled is name right because that would be the wrong way to start out. This is going to be fun and it counts toward community service which I could use for college. Oh, I think that’s him. Native- Oh my god, he is so big he looks like three of me. After we said hello we got in a car that made all the rest look small he said it was a truck what ever that means.
