“THE BREAKFAST CLUB” In the film “ The Breakfast Club”, there is a collection of high school students coming from all kinds of backgrounds, all having conflicting/opposite personalities that within a high school setting leads them to each have a different social status. They are joined together in a common way many high school students are, in detention on a Saturday. In the beginning they recognize how different from one another each of them are and would not relate to each other in any way. Little by little they all started speaking to each other, as they obviously had nothing else to do, by finding out about their respective backgrounds and why they were serving detention. It was surprising to see a whole other side to every person after they started disclosing information about themselves. John portrayed himself as a hard-edged individual who does not have a sensitive side.
