As some of us manage to live through our daily lives, we may sometimes get carried away with so much problems. Soon we stop thinking about those people in our surroundings. Before we know it, the words and actions of certain people start to make an effect on the way we act, even creating some ignorance through the process. In A Clean, Well-Lighted Place by Ernest Hemingway, the scene takes place in a café with an old man and two waiters as the main characters but who‘s names where not given. An old man drinking a couple of brandy’s and minding his own business is of no harm. Especially knowing that the person is a regular, just like the old man at the café.
