Napoleon Bonaparte was the greatest general France has ever known. From his victory in Egypt to his defeat in Waterloo, Napoleon had always had the best battle plans. If Napoleon hadnt risen to power most of the French Revolutions ideals might have never been inforced. Napoleon created the basis of modern French government as well as many others. Although many people thought of Napoleon as a tyrant much of the rights that much of Europe now enjoys was created and enforced by him. Not only was Napoleon a military genius but he was also a great politician, by organizing the French laws into a linear system of codes Napoleon had created the Napoleonic Code which is the basis of the legal system today.
