When a person picks up a magazine and flips the page to a car advertisement, what does he think? What makes people interested in buying those advertised cars? Car advertisements will focus the specific car as the center of attention, adding exaggerated and eye-catching scenes or other props to aid in creating an attractive advertisement. Sometimes an ad will have centered the company’s slogan, or different, but appealing phrases that will inscribe itself into the reader’s mind, often making this audience think about that car, or ad. By using two different car advertisements, the Dodge SRT-4 and the Lincoln Aviator, people can see how the descriptions of the two ads, as well as, the analysis of how the car manufacturer uses the background to make these ads better noticed by the targeted audience. The ad for the Dodge SRT-4 sports car includes a large picture with text written at the top of the page. The main focus is a bright yellow automobile with tented windows and 17-inch rims driving through a large city like Tokyo, Japan, in a central location or on a main street. The city is packed with tall buildings and vivid lights. The car appears to be driving so fast that there is a streak of light following the high-tech machinery. The buildings, billboards and lights are all blurred in the background showing how fast this vehicle is traveling.
