A Bond of love or a bond of fate? ... Do arranged marriages work better or the love marriages? ... If we look at these questions statistically, comparing USA to India we get the answer that arranged marriages definitely work better. Americans believe in love marriages and Indian believes in arranged marriages. ... This shows that 7 out of 10 love marriages are unsuccessful leading to bad effects on their children. According to me marriages made in heaven or by parents have their own advantages and disadvantages varying from one culture to another. ... The society in India does not really support love marriages. According to the USNEWS ninety five percent of all marriages in India are arranged, even among the educated middle class. There are many factors which lead to such statistics relating to marriages in India. The first and foremost is the cultural history of India which mainly consisted of arranged marriages in addition to them being child marriages.
