difference between Science and Pseudo science
To explain the difference between real science and pseudo-science, the first thing to do is to find a definition for both terms and to find examples of what is considered a ‘real’ science and what is not. In the book Quantum Leaps in the Wrong Direction: Where Real Science Ends… and Pseudoscience Begins the question what the difference between science and pseudo-science is research and argued very seriously: “Science is a systematic way of attaining knowledge. In all fields of science a certain method is followed that helps keep focus on the subject being investigated and to minimize human bias, or any other influential beliefs that may taint a scientists interpretation of data and results from an experiment. ... No matter which branch of science is concerned, the scientific method always applies since all sciences are about inquiry of any subject that a scientist wishs to investigate. ... In that way science is self-correcting because there is usually someone else out to prove them right or wrong, and it all stems from curiosity. Science is driven by curiosity of people who want to find out and learn about things that interest them. ... The same is true in other fields of science. The main difference between science and pseudoscience is that science follows the scientific method, and pseudoscience does not. ... Many of those who believe that Intelligent Design Theory and Creation Science are real sciences, sometimes tend to knock the Evolution of life on Earth as "junk science". ... Evolution and Global Warming may cause some people to feel upset as their internal beliefs are being challenged, but science does its best to factor out human emotion as much as possible. ... Science only seeks to understand all aspects of nature in a rational manner.
