The Debate of Corporate Radio

Morgan stood in the crowd, dancing with all of the boys. A flying fist smashes her from behind, and she falls down. The guys around her pulled her back up and made sure she was OK. This is an example of the unconventional kindness and unity you find in the “punk rock” scene. When most people think of the word “punk” they react in one of two ways: they picture either boys (and girls) with mohawks, or bands such as Good Charlotte and Sum 41. However, what they’re thinking of is a new part of “mainstream music.” Loved and loathed, “mainstream” is a big part of the music industry, and everyone has his or her own views. While interviewing people I discovered that much to my surprise there are a majority of people who believe the idea of “mainstream” music, is artists expanding and getting paid for their hard word.
