ENC 1101 Prof. Hernandez. The Outsiders. A Learning Experience From “The Outsiders” After watching “The Outsiders”, I realized it is a very realistic movie. Some of the scenes that take place in the movie are a real example of events that occur now at days. I consider that the main message of the movie is based on the fact that people can, at any point in their lives, look inside themselves and find the way to project or to bring up their talents or good aspects of themselves regardless of how they look, who they are with, where they live or if they are rich or poor. Most of the time people are judged by the way they look. First impressions create the atmosphere for people to believe that they know the person they are meeting with. However, I believe that first impressions and appearance should not be the base to believe that we know about people. The movie provides a good example of this type of situation. People would think that because Pony boy was a grease and dressed like a grease, he would be good for anything and no one person could imagine that he was talented in writing.
