Nobody can deny the fact that “war is hell”, but is it a necessary evil. Can war ever be the right thing to do? The unspeakable violence, thousands, even millions of casualties, torn families and destroyed cities would give the impression that war is intrinsically bad, but can we just sit by and watch injustices occur. No somebody has to take a stand for what is right, and if war occurs to stop a greater evil than war can be justified. A philosophy called “Just War Theory” was originally developed Christian philosophers and is accepted by many religions today. According to this theory the war must satisfy six different criteria, in this paper I will show that the decision to go war with Iraq last year was justifiable.

According to Is War with Iraq Just from the World Net Daily legitimate governments hold a degree of responsibility for their state that is well beyond that of the private citizen.
Secondly the war must be for a just and proper cause. ... Sama Hadad is a 22 year old medical student whose family was forcibly deported from Iraq. ... Millions have died silently in Iraq over the past 20 years, and Saddam will continue to kill if allowed to stay in power.
