Growing up I learned a lot about many different sports, but not American Football. For many years football to me was known as an aggressive and confusing sport, a sport that only interested men. Still today the stereotype exists, and some people seem to be amazed with women that can actually be interested, and educated on such a popular, yet brutal sport. My perception of the game changed in the summer of 1992, the year I moved to Buffalo, N.Y. Some say that the city of Buffalo can only teach you about the four seasons and snowy Christmas. I learned much more than that. Football in Buffalo is not just a sport, but also a lifestyle. A tradition that has had been followed for decades.
