The Old Man and The Sea 1. The old man has been coming home empty handed forever. He never catches a thing. Finally he hooks the biggest fish he has ever seen. The old man has a decision to make. The fish is enormous and is just going to pull him farther out to sea. He has to choose whether he will catch the huge fish or if he will cut the line and let it go. The old man hooks the fish way out in the sea. My suggestion is that he let it go because the fish is big and powerful and he has a small little boat. 2. The old man in the story acts odd. He hasn’t caught a fish for eighty four days. He is probably the worst fisher in this little town.
