Amadeus In the beginning of the Movie we are introduced to Antonio Salieri a composer being brought to a mental hospital for attempted suicide it seems. He goes on to tell his story of Mozart to a Priest there to visit him. Antonio Salieri is A Composer from Vienna, which believes that Mozart was given talent by God and put on this world to destroy his fame. One thing I found very interesting about Mozart in the movie was at ages; (4) he wrote his first concerto, (7)first symphony, and (12) his first opera. With this much talent it almost seems like it can only be the work of God. These talents given to such a crazed man such as Mozart are very unclear to Salieri. Which make Salieri very jealous and angry with God. Later on During the Movie the Emperor ask Salieri to seek out Mozart to write an opera. So Salieri seeks Mozart and gets him to come to Vienna. For his arrival Salieri takes time to write a piece of welcoming music for Mozart. Mozart was very grateful for the piece of work. He feels though that it needs a little more of a touch. Just by ear he plays the exact tune and adds a little more spice to it. I thought that was amazing how he could play note for note the song Salieri took time writing and just add to it like it was nothing. Mozart totally impressed the whole room and brought embarrassment to Salieri. The Emperor welcomes Mozart in as a composer for the palace. Mozart is honored but Mozart loyal father is not pleased that Mozart is leaving him. I feel as if Mozart father held too much ground on Mozart and it was in his best interest to get away from him so he would be free to live his life as a man. In Vienna Mozart marries his wife without his father’s permission and this upsets his father dearly. After marriage they got a small apartment in Vienna. Mozart kept writing operas for the Emperor and after a while they were not being playing at the palace for too long.
