Introduction The schedule cost control problem that I considered for this paper is a project that I am currently working on. The company that I work for is Ingersoll Rand Security & Safety. We are a part of the Security& Safety sector of Ingersoll Rand and specialize in both commercial and residential architectural hardware. We produce three different products, Schlage, Falcon, and Broadway. Each of these products produces individual products and product lines. The project, that I am focusing on for this paper is for Flacon Lock’s Cylinder Fabrication division. In this area we produce all the components from raw material to create the assembled cylinder. The scope of the project is to retool and redesign key components for the entire cylinder division. The problems that are occurring in this project range from poor communication to unforeseen problems that have been hindering the progress of the project. This project was one that was started without any planning and resources, like myself were brought in halfway into the project.
