I think the depth of experience within the department is truly one of its greatest assets. In fact the service that we provide, and its value, is derived from the knowledge and pride that each of us dedicates to our work. Our challenge has been, and continues to be, to build on this legacy of experience to continually provide efficient and innovative solutions for tomorrows engineering challenges. Over the last several years we have developed a business model, our game plan. This game plan centers on four pillars: quality, efficiency, customers, and employees. We are going to continue to stay the course – we are on-track to meet all of our targets identified in our business plan and I truly commend you for this. Ideas are the currency of the 21st century economy. Without new and innovative ideas, we will not be able to achieve greater heights – great efficiencies, greater customer satisfaction, and most importantly greater potential. We are living in an evolving era of power production, and engineering services. It is because we have a game plan (a business plan), where we have measures and targets that will allow us to thrive as we shape the way engineering services are provided at Manitoba Hydro.
