The movie is about the archangel Gabriel. It was how he was given a chance find the feeling of love that had been clouded by jealousy and envy. It sounded it easy but the task had a catch. He was to come to earth in the future after all the innocence of man had been tarnished by his curse of evil and be a regular guy looking for a date. He would have to find a person who he could trust and be himself with and eventually love. Then on a given day appear to this person as the dark angel and almost take her life her. The only way then she would be spared is if she would keep a secret, that she had seen the devil himself. She could never speak, write or even create an image of him. If she did he would appear and take her life and all that is dear to her. As the story begins he is brought to earth in the year 1993. He begins as a foreigner from Australia looking for work in the city. As he looks around for work, no one will hire him because he has no papers or identification. By the end of the day, an old man offered him work in a deli. The man who made sandwiches for him had won the lottery that same day and quit. Gabriel was to start the next day. As he started to work he began to realize how many people came into the deli each day. Gabriel could read the thoughts of people and noticed how everybody to some extent or another had the same hate and envy he had in his soul. Every passing human reminded him of himself. He kept to himself and other than taking food orders, he would never raise his head to look at anybody. One day after working there for a while, a young girl that worked across the street in one of those huge corporate buildings, spoke to him. She asked him what his name was and where he was from. He was shocked because other than asking for the daily specials, no one ever had an interest in him before. He mumbled Gabriel and said he was from Australia. She then asked him why he didn’t have an accent. He didn’t answer her and just asked her what she wanted from the menu.
