LEGALIZING DRUGS?

We are surrounded by drugs in our society. Drugs are part of many social occasions. Some popular drugs are legal and even legally and socially acceptable in our society such as alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes.However, these drugs do not do much harm as compared with marijuana, crack, cocaine or heroin, and other depressants, stimulants, hallucinogens and inhalants drugs which are illegal and do much harm to our bodies. Other drugs such as aspirin, ibropropen or cold medicine are in most people bathroom which is legal. Some drugs have the potential of being both good and bad. Drugs have wiped some of the world deadly disease like smallpox and polio. However, I think drugs such as marijuana, crack, cocaine, heroin and other drugs that alerted consciousness, should not legalize and not to be under the guise of medical treatment. ...
     Drugs are serious problems in the US and a lot of children are turning to drugs. According to Marlyn Oliver in her book DRUGS, it states that 40% of fourth graders use marijuana, 34% drink alcohol and 24% said that their friends encouraged them to try crack or cocaine. ... Cocaine belongs to a class of drugs known as stimulants, which tend to give a temporary illusion of limitless power and energy that leave the user feeling depressed, edgy, and craving more. ... This addiction can erode physical and mental health and can become so strong that these drugs dominate all aspects of an addicts life.
Physical risks associated with using any amount of cocaine and crack:
Increases in blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, and body temperature heart attacks, strokes, and respiratory failure ,hepatitis or AIDS through shared needles ,brain seizures
and reduction of the bodys ability to resist and combat infection
Psychological risks: violent, erratic, or paranoid behavior hallucinations and "coke bugs"-a sensation of imaginary insects crawling over the skin confusion, anxiety and depression, loss of interest in food or sex "cocaine psychosis"--losing touch with reality, loss of interest in friends, family, sports, hobbies, and other activities
Children, who use drugs, will have a poor academic standard.
