“The General History of Virginia” and “The Plymouth Plantation” are both stories of voyages people took for either religious reasons or for money and power. The people in these voyages went through many hardships in a result of illnesses or even death. The General History of Virginia was written by John Smith as a known factual story. John Smith and his crew came to seek money and power. Many people in his crew became sick and died or even starved to death. John Smith, in the need to gain power killed many of the Indians that were already living on Plymouth.
