SETTING: Melody ．s house
Melody is my brother・s girlfriend niece, and I have met her on numerous occasions since her birth. Melody・s mother met me at the door and I met Melody in the living room. As Melody played with the toys, I explained the exact details of the observation to Melody ．s mother.

I was kneeling on the living room floor with Melody sitting across from me. She looks at me and smiles

1) I hid a teddy bear with a squeaking toy inside of it at Melody was playing with and covered it partially with a pink and towel.
